What methods against stress?

Hypnosis, relaxation therapy, NLP, EMDR, EFT … brief therapies are gaining momentum! And because these methods to address your fears and try to make them disappear in a few sessions.

Unlike conventional therapy, brief therapies are mostly interested in solutions, not causes. The goal in brief therapy is not to “understand the source of a problem,” but rather “how to remove it. These therapies are based on an objective change in a given time (no more than ten meetings in general). If the brief therapies are interesting for problems related to stress, they are not always suitable for all ills and do not necessarily replace the analytical work. However, if you want to learn how to manage your emotions, they can be quite effective.

Some techniques used in brief therapy:
Hypnosis: This technique puts you in an intermediate state between waking and sleep, a pleasant state of deep relaxation which is fast diminishing the impact of your stressors. Under hypnosis, you can remember events forgotten. From there, work can be done to release your tensions facing a deadlock or a particular situation. Contrary to popular belief, hypnosis does not make you lose control of yourself and you can always interrupt a meeting.
The relaxation therapy: This method uses relaxation and positive thinking is very effective against stress because it teaches you to listen to your body and control your breathing. The visualization work on a positive event or distressing situation can also help to relativize and make the distance. To release tension, Schultz autogenic training, is particularly recommended. This exercise is based on research of sensations of heaviness and heat in the body provides a deep relaxation.
NLP (neuro-linguistic programming): This therapy is based on communication and language, proposes to identify the type of relational system that you adopt in a stressful situation. It can then improve the perception you have of the situation, then reprogram more positive attitudes in cases of anxiety.
The EMDR: highlighted by psychiatrist David Servan-Schreiber in his bestseller “Healing” and “Anti-cancer,” EMDR is a technique that helps surprising to “reprogram” the brain through eye movements. Particularly effective against post-traumatic stress, this gymnastics eyes would act on neurons and brain, and blur the traumatic memories.
The EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) is a form of acupuncture without needles, which acts on the energy system of meridians of the body. The fingers stimulate certain points while you focus on your problem. This recent method (developed by Gary Craig, California, 1991) relieves many symptoms including occasional or chronic stress.

Some precautions

Some low-skilled people are riding the wave of well-being without making any serious help. So take care not to confide in anyone. Namely brief therapies are not recommended for people with psychiatric disorders.
